Vanadium

Vanadium is a chemical element denoted by the symbol ‘V’ and atomic number 23 on the periodic table. It’s classified as a transition metal, which means it is malleable, ductile, and exhibits high thermal and electrical conductivity.

In its pure form, Vanadium is a hard, silvery-grey metal. However, due to its oxidative state variation from -1 to +5, it readily forms various compounds. Notably, Vanadium’s most stable form is Vanadium(V) oxide, known for its oxidizing properties and use in various industrial processes.

Vanadium is never found in nature in its pure form. Instead, it is usually found as a trace element in various minerals and fossil fuel deposits, making it somewhat challenging to mine and process.

Critical Usecases
